I am a Postdoctoral Fellow at the N – Plasmas Reactive: Modelling and Engineering group at the Institute of Plasmas and Nuclear Fusion in Portugal. My scientific interests include plasma physics, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, atomic and molecular physics.
A great part of my scientific research is dedicated to the characterization of low temperature plasmas through kinetic modeling and experimental diagnostic methods. Click here for an overview on low temperature plasma science and the current roadmap in terms of technological applications around this field.
I have been involved in several international collaborative research projects related to low temperature plasmas. Click here to find out more about these projects. I have been particularly interested on the study of CO2 plasmas and their applications for: (i) production of solar fuels via gas reforming and (ii) in situ resource utilisation on Mars.
