With the circuit validated, it was time to move everything from the breadboard to a perfboard and build something more permanent.
The Challenge
The goal was to keep the footprint as small as possible — and that made everything harder. Fitting all the components into a compact layout meant the connections were tight, the soldering was fiddly, and there was very little room for error. It took patience and a few iterations to get everything routed cleanly without compromising the design.
The Result
It was worth it. After transferring everything over and testing the full system, everything works. Every subsystem that was functioning on the breadboard is functioning on the perfboard. No regressions, no surprises.
The board is compact, solid, and ready to be housed. Which brings us to the next step.
