Official start of the project and continuation of the tasks initiated last semester, reaching out to companies relevant to our project like construction companies, oil & gas refineries, industrial packaging factory, metal cutting companies, etc.
We started the development of this website along with the final touches to our project proposal, which will be presented next week.
After receiving advice from some of the companies we contacted, we started the brainstorming phase to discuss possible solutions to our problem, namely a fixed measuring device equipped with a light system to alert workers within a certain perimeter of the danger level of the noise they are exposed to. Another solution we thought of was a headset system with an integrated dosimeter that would alert the worker when it becomes imperative to use protective gear, along with a system that verifies whether the equipment is being used correctly.
