Our team has finalized the hardware selection that will power the ElectroCap prototype. The focus was to ensure maximum energy efficiency and biometric accuracy.
Our Final Configuration
- Microcontroller: XIAO ESP32-C6, selected for its ultra-low power consumption and advanced I2C handling.
- Biometric Sensors: Clinical-grade I2C sensors for skin temperature (±0.1°C) and heart rate.
- Environmental Sensors: SHT4x sensors for ambient temperature and humidity (Heat Index calculation).
- Motion: ADXL345 3-axis accelerometer for physical exertion context.
- Haptic/Audio: Buzzer and vibration motor for immediate redundant alerts.
- Power: High-efficiency LiPo cell with USB-C charge management.
