Welding Workshop

Posted on

Thursday, October 26, I attended the welding workshop of NEEC (NĂșcleo de Estudantes de Eletrotecnia e Computadores). The workshop consisted of a short introduction to the welding technique and the components that make up an arduino.

At the beginning of the workshop we were given the various components of the Arduino (the plate where the remaining components were soldered, resistances, leds, etc.), a soldering iron, soldered wire and a “map” that indicated the place where we should weld the different parts. We were taught how to properly weld the pieces to the board and the result was duly checked, so that everything went well in the programming session of the following week.

The balance is clearly positive:

  • I was even more motivated for the course;
  • I acquired knowledge that will be useful to me in the future;
  • It was a practical experience that complements the course, which is clearly more theoretical.
