MEETING
Group Meeting with our advisor
On May 19th, our team held a meeting with our advisor to discuss the current progress of the Forest Fire Detection IoT Mesh Network project.
During the meeting, it was confirmed that we already have the camera for the project.
We also discussed the Raspberry Pi optimization process, since we are facing some RAM memory limitations.
The poster and presentation video were also discussed. A poster idea was presented, and our advisor suggested adding more images to make it more attractive.
We talked about creating a more interactive presentation video, and our advisor recommended preparing an initial idea and sending it for feedback.
Finally, we presented the location map and the sensor data being displayed, including temperature, air quality, and CO2 values. We also demonstrated the alert system that will notify firefighters, together with the warning sound that will accompany the alert.
Next Steps:
- Continue optimizing the Raspberry Pi;
- Improve the poster design;
- Develop the presentation video idea;
- Continue testing the dashboard and alert system.
