In order to evaluate the existence of the problem our solution is trying to solve, we had a meeting with Proteção Civil. With this meeting we were able to confirm that in situations like fire fighting, there was a lack of knowledge regarding the measurement of thermal stress and dehydration. Besides that we received the green light to test our prototype in firefighters on real missions, if necessary.
With the information we got from the meeting, we were able to realize that our solution wouldn’t be the best for fire-fighters. The fact that Proteção Civil is a public institution means it doesn’t have a department regarding the security of its operationals. Trying to use our solution in that context would be hard without a centralized security department.
