Introduction

With Demo Day on the horizon, Week 14 was our last — and most exhilarating — phase. All the hard work of merging hardware, refining firmware and crafting our interface had led us here. Now, our mission was clear: transform months of effort into a polished presentation, one that would capture the imagination of judges, professors, peers and other people that will just be wandering around. This week wasn’t about writing new code or soldering fresh connections; it was about showcasing the story behind Who?Cares through visuals, words and proof of concept.

Final Developments

Video Production

We dedicated much of the week to filming our demonstration video, designed to both engage and inform. It opens with a dramatic depiction of the current state of caregiver’s anxieties to draw viewers into the emotional weight of the problem. Then, seamlessly, it transitions into a clear, step‑by‑step explanation of Who?Cares: how the wearable detects falls and movement, how strategically placed sensors relay data and how real‑time alerts keep loved ones safe. Every shot was storyboarded to balance cinematic impact with straightforward, technical clarity, ensuring both emotional resonance and complete transparency about how our solution operates.

Poster & Pitch Deck

While the cameras rolled, another corner of our rooms became our design studio. We meticulously arranged diagrams, photographs and key metrics into a scientific poster that would draw passersby at Demo Day. Every section — from system architecture to our goals with this project — was positioned to guide the viewer’s eye naturally through our narrative.

Simultaneously, we perfected the Pitch Deck, refining each slide to a razor‑sharp focus. We polished data visuals, tightened our messaging and clarified the story arc. By week’s end, our PowerPoint had evolved from a rough outline to a compelling journey: the problem, our solution, the proof and the future.

The Executive Summary

To cap off our written materials, we drafted and submitted an Executive Summary — a concise, one‑page distillation of Who?Cares. In it, we wove together the human need (caregiver anxiety, wandering risks), the technical innovation (wearable monitoring, sensor network, intelligent alert system), and the tangible impact (reduced stress, improved safety). This document became our final “golden key,” a formal statement of the project’s value and our passion for making it a reality.

Recap & Reflections

Week 14 wasn’t about building or debugging — it was about framing every achievement in its best light. From the polished video to the eye‑catching poster, from the sleek slides to the punchy summary, each deliverable was crafted to showcase the depth, rigor and heart of our work.

As we look back on this journey, we see more than a series of technical milestones. We remember conversations with caregivers that shaped our purpose, the thrill of hands‑on prototyping and the late‑night problem‑solving sessions that turned obstacles into breakthroughs. We learned to talk to strangers in the street, to translate human needs into engineering requirements and to collaborate across disciplines with empathy and respect.

In creating Who?Cares, we became not just engineers, but storytellers, advocates, and partners in care. The bonds we forged — both with each other and with the communities we served — are the true legacy of this adventure.

Now, with our materials ready and our prototype standing tall, we step onto the Demo Day stage. Whatever comes next, we carry forward the conviction that real change happens when technology listens to people. Here’s to the end of one journey — and the beginning of many more to come.
