About Me
I am a researcher at the Group for Lasers and Plasmas @ IST in Lisbon Portugal. My research focuses on laser-matter interactions and plasma-based particle acceleration.
Originally from Brazil, I am also a national of Portugal. I did my studies, from undergrad to PhD at the "Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul" (Porto Alegre, Brazil).
Scientific Interests
Plasma Physics: Vlasov dynamics, long-time evolution of plasmas, kinetic theory, and plasma instabilities (primarily focusing on the electronic scale).
Laboratory Astrophysics: Generation coherent radiation and amplication the magnetic fields in the laboratory.
Laser-Plasma Interactions: Parametric instabilities, use of laser-plasma interactions to generate unstable plasmas.
Plasma Simulations: Particle-in-cell, molecular dynamics.
High-Performance Computing: Large-scale simulations, code optimization, code deployment.
