Locally constant stacks

A classical result in algebraic topology is the classification of locally constant sheaves on a reasonably behaved topological space by representations of its fundamental group pi_1(x). We show that locally constant stacks can be classified by "representations" of the 2-groupoid pi_2(x) and use this result for calculations in non-abelian cohomology.
