Week 3 - The Great Pivot

Reflecting on our insights from LAPSO, we made a major strategic pivot. We shifted away from building a tool to assist psychologists in their work, and instead focused on creating an invaluable asset for the individuals themselves. Our goal became warning people facing serious stress problems—even when they don’t physically feel anything yet. These insights and warnings would be delivered directly through our newborn mobile application concept.

Later in the week, we pitched this solution to our peers and faced excellent questions regarding individual biometric baselines. Our response? Using AI to correlate personal metrics with massive datasets over time, combined with short-term stress stimulus tests to see how each person uniquely reacts. To back this up, we met with Professor Hugo, a biomedical engineering researcher, who advised us to swap our basic temperature sensor for an Electrodermal Activity (EDA) sensor. We closed the week with an insightful seminar on creative data measurement.
