Meeting with Sleep Labs

With this meeting, we were able to better define what our product should do and gain a clearer understanding of who would use it.

We also started to develop a deeper understanding of sleep stages—how to measure them and how to incorporate this knowledge into our device. The key takeaways were identifying when a person falls asleep, avoiding waking them up at the wrong time, and exploring which sounds aid sleep beyond just white noise.

One important suggestion from the meeting was to improve already approved gadgets instead of developing entirely new technology. The focus should be on treatment rather than the identification of sleep phases, particularly in the detection and treatment stages.

Finally, we were reminded to be cautious about the idea of “perfect sleep,” as it may not always be a realistic goal.
