We started our week on Monday, after classes, by heading to the nearest fire station, which in this case was the Regimento de Sapadores Bombeiros - 4ª Companhia - Quartel Defensores de Chaves. After explaining who we were and our purpose for contacting them, we were advised to go to the Regimento de Sapadores Bombeiros de Lisboa - 1ª Companhia - Quartel do Comando.
On Tuesday, as we didn’t have much time available, we split up: one part of the group worked on the PowerPoint presentation, while the other continued developing the website.
On Wednesday, right after classes, we went to the fire station that had been recommended to us. Upon arrival, we explained our project again at the reception and were redirected to a specific professional who, however, was not on duty at that moment so whe contacted him, both by phone and email, in an attempt to schedule a meeting.
By the end of the week, we continued working on the website and the PowerPoint presentation while waiting for a response to our email, which had not yet arrived. Given this situation and the urgent need for clarification, one of the group members volunteered to contact the fire station closest to their home, the Bombeiros Voluntários de Pombal. After speaking with a professional, some parameters were clarified that they considered relevant to monitor in their emergency vehicles, providing us with valuable information to move forward with the PowerPoint and the project in general.
