The photograph above shows the final version of our prototype, bringing together all the improvements made throughout the design process. The enclosure houses the electronic components in a compact and organized structure, providing both protection and easy access for maintenance and future upgrades.
The upper section of the enclosure contains ventilation slots that allow air to flow freely around the sensors, ensuring that the measurements accurately represent the surrounding indoor environment. An opening was also included to expose the light sensor to ambient light, enabling reliable illumination measurements.
The front removable lid, shown beside the enclosure, was designed with additional horizontal slots to further enhance airflow and allow the sensors to capture air conditions from multiple directions. A dedicated opening at the bottom of the lid provides convenient access for charging the batteries without requiring the enclosure to be disassembled.
Overall, the final prototype combines functionality, accessibility, and ease of use. The resulting design is robust, practical, and well suited for continuous indoor air quality monitoring, representing the successful outcome of the development process.
