Alvalade’s Fire Regiment

Our team visited the Fire Regiment in Alvalade, to discuss the most important aspects of the device for them, and also to allow future testing of the prototype. The meeting was conducted by Miguel André, Francisco Antunes, Rafael Fernandes, and Pedro Lopes.

Firefighters currently lack an effective method for analyzing fatigue during operations. They are either not able to assess it in real-time, or they are grouped in pairs where one works while the other rests, with a supervisor overseeing the process and determining when to switch based on their judgment.

Our prototype will be very useful for firefighters as it not only provides a better evaluation of their vital signs to determine possible health risks and the optimal time for rest, but also allows supervisors to focus more on their tasks.
