Simulates, via Monte Carlo, the length, L, of a string tying two parallel (tangent) cylindrical rods. In the Figure, is shown a pulley system, but the present problem is like two tangent pulleys.

Plots the density function (pdf), f(L), and the probability function (cdf), F(L), and estimates the mean and standard deviation of L.

Other suggested data for (distr., μ, a): any values that do not generate negative radii.
