Two-sample equal variance t-test
Statistical two-sample t-test assuming equal variance.
2024.Jul.03 19:22:53
Sample A (0 or sample. See below.) •
Sample B
A: n, x-bar, s Size, average, and std of sample.
Ignored if (respective) sample was given.
B: n, x-bar, s
d0 (NB: 0 iff "≠") Difference to test. •
α % Level of test. •
points Points for plot. •
Show values ? Shows the graph coordinates. •

Performs a statistical t-test for two samples assessing whether it is  μAμB {> | } d0,  at level {α | ⁄2}, assuming equal variance. The base data are from Walpole and Myers [1989], Example 8.6, p 312.

(The user data can come, e.g., from Excel by simple copy-paste. So, tab characters are accepted.)

If the samples, A and B, are given, they prevail, and the sizes (n), averages (x-bar), and standard-deviations (s) are ignored (but have to be present: any values, such as 0, 0, 0).

Plots the density (f) and cumulative distribution (F) for the particular Students's t distribution.
