Behaviour of a quality index
Simulates (via Monte Carlo) a quality index and draws a curve of its behaviour.
2024.Jul.03 12:22:50
Distribution: (a)   (b) Distribution of the variable of which the quality index will be simulated, and type of quality index (see below).
n Sample size.
AQL, α  %    % Acceptable quality level, producer's risk.
ntr, .repeat, m No. of trials (samples), repeatability (0 for none), no. of histogram classes.
qmin, qmax; fmax ;   Graph goes from qmin to qmax; and y to fmax (auto if 0).
Show values Shows the coordinates of the graph.
Simulates a quality index, Q, from a sample of observations of a given random variable via Monte Carlo, and draws a curve (a histogram) of its values. The mean is set at μ = 5 (and, if appropriate, σ = 1). The "upper specification limit", U, is calculated to match the specified AQL. The proposed Q 's are of the following types:
(a) with_s           (b) with_a
For the Gaussian distribution, (a) is always assumed.
