Seria possível, mas não é provável. Regredir drasticamente
nos padrões de vida das nossas sociedades? Também
seria possível, mas estaremos dispostos a isso? Senão,
resta-nos a transição energética. E a tecnologia. Mas
será possível manter os padrões de vida atuais, só com
as energias renováveis? Poderá a tecnologia conseguir
isso em tempo útil? E se não conseguir, deverá a
energia nuclear ser uma possibilidade, como defendem
os ecomodernistas? Não sei. Mas sei que é
fundamental limitar o aquecimento global a 1.5º C.

Reducing
drastically the world population ?
It would be possíble, but it is not likely. Regressing drastically
in our standards of living in our societies ?
It would also be possible, but are we willing to that ?
Otherwise, what we have left is the energetic transition.
And technology. But will it be possible to maintain the current
standards of living, only with the renewable energies ?
Will technology be able to reach that in time ?
And if it isn't able, must nuclear energy be a possibility,
as ecomodernists argue for ? I don't know.
But I know it is fundamental to limit global warming to 1.5ºC.
