In this week, we made some adjustments to our project due to a shortage of materials, particularly sensors. As an alternative, we decided to utilize the API provided by IPMA to gather data on precipitation, evapotranspiration, irradiance, and temperature. Consequently, we began coding to integrate the API with Arduino for data acquisition. During the seminar this week, we received valuable tips from Alexandre Silva and Nuno Ferreira for our project. One noteworthy suggestion was the concept of "virtual sensoring." This approach is particularly beneficial as it allows us to simulate sensor data, enabling us to proceed with our project more rapidly, especially now that we have received the Arduino boards.
