The Game

Our concept

Uknown Planet is a 3D Survival/exploration game. You wake up dizzy in a place you have never seen before. The last thing you remember was an asteroid collided with your spaceship destroying the safe structure where you and your team travelled in. Your priority is clear: Survive this unknown environment until you find ship’s missing parts and rebuild the fallen spaceship with the planet’s resources so you can go back home. However, you will soon realize that this is no easy task, so you will have to learn how to survive and manage resources by yourself until you achieve your goal.

Documentation and process

The project followed three development and user testing iterative cycle.

The first development cycle included defining the game experience goals and game concept. We also defined personas and scenarios and researched the market for references. After that a low-fi prototype was build and tested with users from our focus group.


For the second development cycle included the main design document was updated and improved to include the control and presentation system of the game. The control and presentation schemes were tested with users. New user testing workshops were held, with an iproved low-fi prototype that took into consideration the feedback from the previous cycle.


In the third development cycle the main design document was updated to include game progression plans. We presentaed our game at MOJO gaming event and had the chance to again, test the game with more users. We prepared a playtesting plan for that specific day and evaluated the data in the Final Report.
