Arlindo Oliveira

Distinguished professor of Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), with the CSE Dept. President of INESC. Distinguished guest professor at Macau University of Science and Technology. Researcher of INESC-ID. Member of the board of CGD. Member of the Portuguese Academy of Engineering, of the Lisbon Academy of Sciences, of ACM and of IEEE.
Education: PhD in EECS from UC Berkeley and MSc and BSc in EECS from IST. Post-graduation on risk management from INSEAD.
Areas of interest: algorithms, machine learning, artificial intelligence, bioinformatics, and CAD.
